With a loan, the 50,000 THB subsidy is paid straight to the bank; if you pay cash it is refunded by PromptPay, according to PEA's programme page. The bank uses export income to repay principal first and returns the rest to you.

The bill saving from using solar power in the daytime (about 1,288 THB a month for the example home) stays on your bill, so a net payment of about 289 THB is usually covered by the lower bill.
